February 26 (SeeNews) - North Macedonian oil refinery Okta [MSE:OKTA] said on Tuesday that it turned to a net loss of 100.1 million denars ($1.8 million/1.6 million euro) in 2018 from a net profit of 203.2 million denars in 2017.
The company's sales revenue rose by 19% to 27.5 billion denars last year, Okta said in an unaudited financial statement.
Domestic market revenue increased 15% to 23.6 billion denars, while revenue from foreign markets soared 47% to 3.9 billion denars.
Cost of goods sold grew 21% to 26.6 billion denars, while amortisation and depreciation costs added 14% to 273 million denars.
The company's other operating costs jumped 70% to 187.3 million denars.
Okta is a member of the Hellenic Petroleum Group.
Okta owns crude oil refining facilities with nameplate capacity of 2.5 million metric tons and storage facilities with total capacity of 350 million liters.
