SKOPJE (N. Macedonia), June 21 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of North Macedonia's commercial banks rose 9.9% year-on-year to 403.5 billion denars ($6.9 billion/6.5 billion euro) at the end of May, the central bank said on Tuesday.

Month-on-month, the banks' loan portfolio was 0.8% higher at the end of May, the central bank said in a statement.

Loans to the corporate sector grew 11.9% on the year, reaching 194.6 billion denars at the end of May, while loans to households came in at 206.8 billion denars, up 8% year-on-year.
