January 23 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of North Macedonia's commercial banks rose 9.4% year-on-year to 423.1 billion denars ($7.5 billion/6.9 billion euro) at the end of December 2022, the central bank said.
Month-on-month, the banks' loan portfolio was 1.4% higher at the end of December, the central bank said in a statement last week.
Loans to the corporate sector grew 11.5% on the year, reaching 206 billion denars at the end of December, while loans to households totalled 215 billion denars, up 7.3%.
