September 21 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of North Macedonia's commercial banks rose 6.4% year-on-year to 434.7 billion denars ($7.5 billion/7.1 billion euro) at the end of August, the central bank said on Thursday.
Month-on-month, the banks' loan portfolio was 0.3% higher at the end of August, the central bank said in a statement.
Loans to the corporate sector grew 5.8% on the year, reaching 207.3 billion denars at the end of August, while loans to households totalled 224.8 billion denars, up 6.7%.
