SKOPJE (N. Macedonia), May 20 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of North Macedonia's commercial banks rose 10% year-on-year to 400.5 billion denars ($6.9 billion/6.5 billion euro) at the end of April, the central bank said on Friday.

Month-on-month, the banks' loan portfolio was 0.9% higher at the end of April, the central bank said in a statement.

Loans to the corporate sector grew 12.3% on the year, reaching 193.68 billion denars at the end of April, while loans to households came in at 204.6 billion denars, up 7.8% year-on-year.
