January 21 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia plans to increase the minimum monthly net wage by about 24% to 18,000 denars ($331/291.9 euro) this year, local media reported.
Based on projections and analyses, the government expects to lift the minimum wage in the second quarter, Telma news agency quoted economy minister Kreshnik Bekteshi as saying on Thursday.
North Macedonia last increased the minimum monthly net wage in 2019, lifting it to 14,500 denars.
The average net wage in North Macedonia amounted to 29,145 denars in October, according to the latest data from the national statistical office.
