January 19 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government has decided to extend the working hours for bars and restaurants until 9 pm in a partial easing of the restrictions introduced to curb the spread of the Covid-19 disease, health minister Venko Filipce said on Tuesday.
The extension of working hours will take effect as of January 21, Filipce said in a Twitter post.
Currently, these businesses have to close at 6 pm.
The government will discuss next week the possible further easing of the restrictions by allowing bars and restaurants to stay open until 11 pm, the health minister added.
North Macedonia has confirmed a total of 88,992 coronavirus cases, including 2,715 associated deaths, as of Monday, health ministry data showed.
