April 6 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government said it has decided to temporary extend the night curfew by two hours and impose new restrictions, including a ban on dining at hospitality venues, in order to slow the spread of the COVID-19 disease.
As of April 6, the curfew will start at 8 pm instead of 10 pm, and end at 5 am, the government said in a statement on Monday.
Under the new set of measures, cafes, restaurants, bars and clubs will provide only takeaway services starting April 7.
Fitness centres and other sports training facilities will be closed as of April 6. The government is also banning all in-person seminars, workshops, training courses and conferences.
Furthermore, groups spending time in the open air must be limited to four people.
The new restrictions will be effective until April 20.
North Macedonia has confirmed 135,167 cases of the COVID-19 infection, including 3,977 deaths, so far.
