June 13 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Public Enterprise for Railway Infrastructure Railways is inviting expressions of interest to do supervisory services for the construction of a new railway section from Kriva Palanka to the border with Bulgaria, part of pan-European Corridor VIII, a notice in the EU's procurement journal indicated.
The assignment is expected to cost 13 million euro ($14 million), excluding VAT, the notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) showed last week.
The services are expected to be financed through a grant from the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF), and from a loan by the European Investment Bank (EIB), the notice read.
The assignment is expected to have duration of 72 months.
The deadline for submitting expressions of interest to the Public Enterprise for Railway Infrastructure Railways is August 1.
Corridor VIII is an east-west route connecting Albania's Adriatic port of Durres to the Bulgaria's Black Sea port of Varna via North Macedonia.
