SKOPJE (North Macedonia), April 4 (SeeNews) – North Macedonia’s state-run road company is seeking a consultant for the construction of Kriva Palanka - Deve Bair road section, part of Europe's Corridor VIII, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said.
“The assignment is expected to start on July 1 and will have an estimated overall duration of 24 months,” the EBRD said in a procurement notice on Tuesday.
The cost of the assignment is estimated at 200,000 euro ($224,664) and the deadline for submitting bids is May 6.
In September, the EBRD said it is providing a 10 million euro senior loan to finance the construction of a 13-km stretch of dual lane carriageway between Kriva Palanka and Deve Bair, near the border with Bulgaria, aimed to improve regional connectivity.
Corridor VIII is part of the Western Balkans core network and an indicative extension of trans-European transport network.
The project will improve North Macedonia’s economic ties with the European Union via neighbouring EU member Bulgaria.
