March 22 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government said on Monday it has decided to extend a nationwide night curfew by two weeks at the suggestion of the country's Commission for Infectious Diseases.
The curfew, in force from 10 pm to 5 am the following day, will remain effective by April 6, the government said in a statement.
The night curfew was introduced for a temporary period on March 10 and was initially due to end this Tuesday.
North Macedonia confirmed 642 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, increasing the total count to 119,378. So far, 3,473 people have died from the infection, health ministry data shows.
