May 27 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's prime minister Oliver Spasovski said that as of Wednesday the country is ending the night curfew imposed more than two months ago to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

In addition, the government's requirements for employers to allow staff to work from home will cease to apply as of June 1, except in the case of employees with chronic diseases and parents of children under the age of 10.
North Macedonia is also replacing the mandatory state quarantine with home isolation for its citizens returning from abroad if they present negative coronavirus tests taken in the previous 72 hours.
Spasovski added that the restrictive measures will be reintroduced if the general safety measures, such as social distancing and wearing masks, are not respected.
North Macedonia confirmed its first case of coronavirus on February 26. The state of emergency imposed due to the pandemic on March 18 is ending on May 30.
The country has confirmed a total of 2,014 coronavirus cases, including 116 deaths, as of May 26, health minister Venko Filipce said in a Twitter post.
