December 2 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia’s government provided an additional 11.5 million euro ($12.1 million) to state-owned electricity producer ESM to boost its output during the current energy crisis, local media reported on Friday.
The funds are allocated from the 2022 budget, business news portal Faktor reported.
In September, the government allocated 50 million euro ($52.6 million) to ESM to increase power production.
ESM is using the financial support for the supply of essential raw materials, such as coal and fuel oil, as well as for other purposes related to supporting the uninterrupted production of electricity, according to an earlier statement by the finance ministry.
