January 14 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian shipyard MTG Dolphin has challenged the decision of a local government agency to rank third its offer for delivering a dredge, data by the competition authority shows.
On December 30, MTG Dolphin has filed a complaint against the decision of the executive agency for exploration and maintenance of the Danube river to award the procurement contract to Dutch-based Damen Shipyards Gorinchem, according to data published on the website of the Commission for Protection of Competition.
The anti-trust body launched proceedings regarding the complaint on Monday.
MTG Dolphin offered the highest price for supplying the dredge - 6.259 million levs ($3.6 million/3.2 million euro). Damen Shipyards Gorinchem won the tender with an offered price of 6.1 million levs, followed by Romania's S. C. Shipyard ATG Giurgiu, which offered to procure the dredge for 6.255 million levs.
