November 8 (SeeNews) - International entertainment company Modern Times Group (MTG) said on Wednesday its Bulgarian operations recorded a double-digit growth of sales and profit in the third quarter of 2017, as compared to the same quarter last year.
"The Bulgarian audience share was stable year-on-year, and the TV advertising market is estimated to have been stable," MTG said in its quarterly report.
MTG provided no figures for the sales and profit of its Bulgarian operations.
The company said that its International Entertainment segment, which includes Bulgarian operations as well as French channel Trace, generated 7.3% organic growth of net sales to 817 million Swedish krona ($97.5 million/84 million euro) in the first nine months of the year.
In Bulgaria, MTG operates TV channels Nova, Kino Nova, Diema, Diema Family, Nova Sport, digital media company Net Info and video service EVA TV.
In the first nine months of 2017, the group's sales rose to 12.23 billion Swedish krona with organic growth rate of 6.9%.
