April 25 (SeeNews) - Hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:5MH] led the blue-chip decliners on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday, bourse data showed.
M+S Hydraulic shares closed 2.98% lower at 8.101 levs in a trading volume of 1,890 shares.
Total stock trading turnover fell to 361,800 levs ($201,700/184,600 euro) on Tuesday, from 3.1 million levs on Monday.
The BSE's blue-chip SOFIX index dropped 0.63% to 653.76 points, after edging down 0.01% on Monday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE decreased 0.66% to 129.01 points, after adding 0.25% on Monday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, edged down 0.03% to 108.72 points, after closing 0.07% lower on Monday.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell 0.48% to 513.6 points, after decreasing 0.15% on Monday.
Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] led the blue-chip gainers on Tuesday, closing 0.06% higher at 1.57 levs in a trading volume of 3,815 shares.
Real estate investment trust (REIT) Advance Terrafund [BUL:6A6] was the most traded blue-chip company on Tuesday, as 42,639 shares changed hands at an average price of 2.118 levs.
On Monday the stock exchange said it has proposed to amend the rules for calculating its indices to boost the transparency and reliability of its data.
"BSE has already sent the proposal for amendments to the stakeholders and plans discussions within the Capital Market Development Council on the topic," BSE noted in a statement, adding that the proposed changes to the index calculation rules will be available for public discussion on its website until the end of May.
