September 27 (SeeNews) - Three of the five main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in green territory on Wednesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX adding 0.03% to 743.79 points, bourse data show.
SOFIX was pushed upwards by pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA], which leapt by 5.10% to 6.60 levs, and pharmaceuticals trader Sopharma Trading [BUL:SFT], which grew by 2.46% to 6.25 levs.
Sopharma and Sopharma Trading also spurred on the broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The BGBX40 was additionally helped by diversified group Synergon Holding [BUL:SNRG], which advanced by 3.55% to 1.02 levs.
Overall, the BGBX40 increased by 0.11% to 156.80 points, while the BGTR30 climbed by 0.05% to 779.26 points.
On the other hand, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, went down 0.07% to 190.49 points. It was set back by a 0.88% slip at Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] to 2.26 levs and a 0.30% decrease at Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.34 levs.
The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, dipped by 0.84% to 98.11 points. Its performance was constrained by organic products maker and distributor Smart Organic [BUL:SO], which lost 2.35% to 16.60 levs, and biometric identification security systems developer Biodit [BUL:BDT], which shed 1.88% to 1.57 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange sank to 1.04 million levs ($563,915/531,742 euro) on Wednesday from 29.1 million levs on Tuesday.
With some 5,549 shares traded, Capital Management SPV [BUL:CAPM] was the day's top stock by turnover, which came in at 427,273 levs. The company's shares closed flat at 77.00 levs.
