January 19 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed higher on Thursday, with the blue-chip SOFIX rising on gains in First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:FIB] and diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM], bourse data showed.
The SOFIX edged up 0.06% to 613.90 points, as Fibank rose 5.22% to 2.42 levs and Chimimport added 4.48% to 0.84 levs.
The two companies were also the top gainers in the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, pushing it up by 0.04% to 741.44 points.
The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, was the only index to lose ground, slipping by 0.09% to 141.22 points. Its performance was hindered by a decline of 5.26% to 9.00 levs in Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH] and a loss of 4.05% to 0.71 levs in software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH].
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, climbed 0.12% to 185.71 points, backed by an increase of 1.96% to 2.08 levs in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF].
Total turnover on the BSE's main market sank to 464,514 levs ($257,429/237,501 euro) on Thursday from 3.27 million levs a day earlier.
The top stock by turnover was Fibank, which generated 158,740 levs from 65,595 shares traded.
