February 20 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed higher on Monday, with the blue-chip index SOFIX rising by 0.53% to 610.49 points despite a huge loss at IT services management provider Telelink Business Services Group [BUL:TBS].
Telelink dropped by 10.95% to 9.84 levs with 5,159 shares traded after an announcement that co-founder and majority shareholder Lubomir Minchev plans to sell a minority stake.
The loss was more than offset by the SOFIX gainers, led by energy and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG] and diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH]. Eurohold climbed by 3.75% to 1.66 levs with 9,111 shares traded after it said it took further steps to guarantee the solvency of its subsidiary Euroins Romania so as to shield it from what it describes as "regulatory overpressure". At the same time, Doverie gained 2.30% to 8.00 levs.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, went up by 0.38% to 140.95 points. Growth was driven by Euroins and a gain of 3.10% to 5.98 levs at Sopharma Trading [BUL:SFT].
Pressed by Telelink, however, the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell by 0.06% to 735.25 points.
In contrast, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, climbed by 0.19% to 186.67 points. The index was pushed up by Bulgarian Real Estate Fund [BUL:BREF], which advanced by 0.96% to 2.10 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange plunged to 233,168 levs ($127,386/119,217 euro) on Monday from 913,674 levs.
