February 8 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main stock indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in green territory on Wednesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX rising by 0.21% to 612.71 points.
The top two gainers in the index were diversified groups Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] and Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH]. Chimimport increased by 2.07% to 0.79 levs with 85,621 shares traded, while Doverie climbed by 2.01% to 8.12 levs with 2,216 shares changing hands.
Chimimport and Doverie also pushed up the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The index closed 0.07% higher at 739.28 points.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, advanced by 0.18% to 141.47 points, boosted by diversified group Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria [BUL:ZHBG]. The company jumped by 6.45% to 0.165 levs with 15,200 shares traded. Additionally, the index was supported by Chimimport and Doverie.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, was the only index to show a decline on Wednesday after falling by 0.57% to 185.83 points. The top loser was Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER], which decreased by 1.82% to 3.24 levs. It was followed by Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF], which lost 0.95% to 2.08 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange surged to 2.45 million levs ($1.34 million/1.25 million euro) on Wednesday from 1.49 million levs on Tuesday.
For the second consecutive day, the heaviest-traded stock was Concord Fund-7 South-East Europe [BUL:CCR7], a national investment fund run by Concord Asset Management. The stock closed flat at 13.80 levs, generating 769,350 levs in turnover with 55,750 shares traded.
