January 11 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main stock indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed higher on Wednesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX gaining 0.44% to 620.09 points, bourse data showed.
The index was supported by fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH], which added 1.99% to 41.00 levs, and First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB], which rose by 1.85% to 2.20 levs.
The two companies also pushed up the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight.
The top gainer in both indices, however, was venture capital firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C], which went up by 2.75% to 22.40 levs. Eventually, BGBX40 closed 0.21% higher at 141.61 points, while BGTR30 climbed by 0.24% to 741.94 points.
At the same time, the BGREIT index remained unchanged at 186.94 points as all seven real estate investment funds it tracks closed flat.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market decreased to 500,258 levs ($275,122/255,778 euro) on Wednesday from 939,626 levs a day earlier.
About half of the turnover, or 250,789 levs, was generated by electricity and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG]. The stock rose by 1.12% to 1.80 levs with 139,327 shares traded.
