January 26 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) gained 0.31% to 616.38 points on Thursday, while the three remaining main indices fell, bourse data showed.
The SOFIX was pushed upwards by a 5.97% rise in fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] to 42.60 levs along with a 2.29% increase in energy and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG] to 1.79 levs.
An 8.81% drop in diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH] to 8.80 levs and a fall of 3.13% to 6.20 levs in steel radiator manufacturer Korado Bulgaria [BUL:KBG] pushed down the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, by 0.31% to 141.10 points.
Stara Planina Hold was also the main loser in the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, dragging the index down by 0.19% to 741.64 points.
The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, went down 0.43% to 186.20 points on a 1.92% loss at Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] to 2.04 levs.
The top stock by turnover was Neochim, which generated 150,378 levs with 3,530 shares traded.
Total turnover on the main market of the BSE dropped to 817,518 levs ($454,690/417,989 euro) on Thursday from 1.34 million levs on Wednesday.
