December 9 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) ended the week in green territory, with the blue-chip SOFIX increasing by 0.24% to 603.83 points, rebounding after losses in the previous two days.
The top gainer in SOFIX was fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH], showing a rise of 4.17% to 45 levs. The index was also supported by energy and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG], which gained 1.11% to 1.82 levs.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, added 0.52% to 139.13 points, showing the strongest increase. The index was pushed up by poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6], which went up by 4.38% to 1.43 levs with 14,520 shares traded. The positive performance was also helped by Neochim.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, closed 0.39% higher at 730.62 points. The index was buoyed by Neochim and a 2.26% gain at investment company Velgraf Asset Management [BUL:VAM] to 4.52 levs.
With as many as 1.18 million shares traded, the firm was the most liquid stock on Friday, generating a turnover of 5.34 million levs.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, was the only one to close in red, after losing 0.17% to 184.42 points. The only loser in the index was Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF], which fell by 0.96% to 2.06 levs. The rest of the trusts closed flat.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market slipped to 6.6 million levs ($3.55 million/3.37 million euro) on Friday from 6.9 million levs a day earlier.
