PODGORICA (Montenegro), October 31 (SeeNews) – Montenegro’s total power consumption fell by 27% month-on-month to 187.5 GWh in September, the country's power grid operator Crnogorski elektrodistributivni sistem (CEDIS) said on Tuesday.
On an annual comparison basis, total electricity consumption in the country remained unchanged, CEDIS said in a statement.
Region 2, comprising the municipalities of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje, accounted for the bulk, 35%, of total power consumption in September, or 67 GWh, CEDIS said.
Household electricity consumption in Montenegro decreased by 29.6% month-on-month to 87.4 GWh in September, according to figures posted on the website of the country's power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) earlier this month.
On a year-on-year basis, household electricity consumption was down 0.5% in September.
