PODGORICA (Montenegro), October 24 (SeeNews) – Household electricity consumption in Montenegro decreased by 29.6% month-on-month to 87.4 million kWh in September, according to figures posted on the website of the country's power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG).
On a year-on-year basis, household electricity consumption was down 0.5% in September, figures showed on Monday.
The average monthly household electricity bill in Montenegro was 28.74 euro ($33.79) last month.
The highest average monthly electricity bill, 36.65 euro, was paid by households in Ulcinj, while the lowest one, 20.89 euro, was registered in the town of Zabljak.
The Montenegrin government is the majority owner of EPCG with a 57% stake. Italian company A2A owns 41.75%.
In July, A2A officially applied with the government to dispose of its shareholding in the company.
