PODGORICA (Montenegro), December 22 (SeeNews) – Montenegro's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by a real 4.7% on the year in the third quarter of 2017, following a 5.1% increase in the previous quarter, preliminary data of the statistical office indicated on Friday.
In the third quarter of 2016, Montenegro's real GDP growth was 3.0%.
Montenegro's GDP growth slowed down nominally to 7.9% in the three months through September 2017, from 8.5% a year ago, the statistical office said in a statement.
The country’s GDP totalled 1.392 billion euro ($1.649 billion) at current prices in the third quarter of 2017, up from 1.29 billion euro a year earlier.
Final consumption expenditure rose to 1.016 billion euro in the third quarter of 2017 from 935.5 million euro in the like period of last year. Exports totalled 925.6 million euro and imports amounted to 737.4 million euro.
