PODGORICA (Montenegro), September 27 (SeeNews) – Montenegro's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by a real 3.2% on the year in the second quarter of 2019, following a 3.0% increase in the previous quarter, preliminary data of the statistical office indicated on Friday.
In the second quarter of 2018, Montenegro's real GDP growth was 4.9%.
Montenegro's GDP growth slowed down nominally to 3.9% in the three months through June 2019, from 8.6% a year ago, the statistical office said in a statement.
The country’s GDP totalled 1.138 million euro ($1.041 billion) at current prices in the second quarter of 2019, up from 1.078 billion euro a year earlier.
Final consumption expenditure rose to 1.123 billion euro in the second quarter of 2019 from 1.099 billion euro in the like period of the previous year. Exports totaled 473.7 million euro and imports amounted to 870.9 million euro.
