April 21 (SeeNews) - Montenegro’s total power consumption in March grew by 7% on an annual basis to 259.3 GWh, the country's power grid operator Crnogorski elektrodistributivni sistem (CEDIS) said on Thursday.
Region 2, comprising the municipalities of Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje, accounted for the largest share, 40%, of total power consumption in March, CEDIS said in a statement.
A total of 1,072 new users were connected to the distribution network in March.
Household electricity consumption in Montenegro rose 6.2% on an annual basis to 130 million kWh in March, the country's power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG).
On a monthly comparison basis, household electricity consumption in Montenegro grew by 7% in March.
