December 15 (SeeNews) - The number of TV connections in Montenegro rose by 9.3% on the year to 200,593 at the end of October, the country's audovisual media regulator said.
In October, the leading platform for distribution of radio and TV programmes to end-users in Montenegro was cable, with a market share of 36.98%, followed by DTH and IPTV with 31.23% and 28.36%, respectively. DVB-T2 had a market share of 3.42%, according to data posted on the website of the Agency for Electronic Media earlier this week.
In the reporting period, the average cost of a basic package consisting of 71 TV channels was 10.07 euro ($11.88) per month.
According to the structure of additional tiers, sports and film channels had the highest share, the regulator said. The best selling additional tiers were the PINK, ARENA and HBO.
