PODGORICA (Montenegro), November 14 (SeeNews) – Montenegro's household electricity consumption rose by 4.8% month-on-month to 92.1 million kWh in October, the country's power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) said on Monday.
On a year-on-year basis, household electricity consumption was up 6% in October, EPCG said in a statement.
The average monthly household electricity bill in Montenegro was 29.99 euro ($32.3) last month.
The power utility's net profit rose to 13.7 million euro in the first half of 2016, from 11.8 million euro a year earlier, according to the latest available data.
The Montenegrin government is the majority owner of EPCG with a 57% stake. Italian company A2A owns 41.75%.
EPCG, which operates over 870 MW of installed capacity, plans to generate 2,976 GWh of electricity in 2016, down 5.8% from 2015.
