November 6 (SeeNews) - Montenegrin mobile operator m:tel has picked Ericsson as a strategic partner in providing services for the maintenance and management of telecommunication equipment and infrastructure networks, the government in Podgorica said on Thursday.
In addition, Ericsson will open a representative office in the Adriatic country, the government said in a statement issued after a meeting with Ericsson representatives.
M:tel said on Tuesday that the deal signed with Ericsson covers a period of seven years.
Telekom Srbija owns 51% in m:tel, while the remainder is owned by Bosnia’s Telekom Srpske.
M:tel, the smallest mobile operator in Montenegro, had 321,704 customers and а 28.85% market share at the end of the third quarter of 2014.
