PODGORICA (Montenegro), September 18 (SeeNews) – Montenegro’s unemployment rate fell to 15.1% in the second quarter of 2017, down by 2.3 percentage points compared to the previous quarter, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The number of unemployed persons in Montenegro decreased 11.9% on the quarter to 41,300 at the end of June 2017, the country's statistical office said in a press release.
The employment rate in Montenegro increased to 46.5% in the second quarter of 2017, up from 44.9% in the like period of last year. In the first quarter of 2017, the employment rate was 44.5%.
Montenegro's jobless rate was 17.7% at the end of 2016.
