PODGORICA (Montenegro), May 28 (SeeNews) – Montenegro’s trade deficit declined by 10.5% on the year to 573 million euro ($630 million) in the first four months of 2020, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
Exports declined 8.6% to 114.4 million euro in January-April, while imports went down 10.2% to 687.4 million euro, the statistical office said in a statement.
Montenegro's key export destinations in the first four months of 2020 were Serbia with 27.2 million euro, Slovenia with 15.4 million euro and Hungary with 11.0 million euro.
Imports into the country came mainly from Serbia which accounted for 131.1 million euro, Germany ranked second with 65 million euro and China followed with 42.5 million euro.
In 2019, Montenegro's trade gap widened by 1.5% to 2.185 billion euro.
