PODGORICA (Montenegro), June 13 (SeeNews) – Montenegrin power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) said that household electricity consumption increased by 1.4% on the month to 88.3 million kWh in May.
In annual terms, household consumption was up 5.2% in May, EPCG said in a statement on Friday.
The average monthly household power bill in Montenegro was 29.13 euro ($32.8) last month.
The power utility's net profit fell to 8.8 million euro from 13.4 million euro in the first quarter of 2016, according to the latest available data.
The Montenegrin government is the majority owner of EPCG with a 57% stake while Italian company A2A owns 41.75%.
EPCG, which plans to generate 2,976 GWh of electricity in 2016, down 5.8% from 2015, operates over 870 MW of installed generation capacity.
