November 18 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's government proposes a fiscal deficit of 366 million euro ($379.6 million), equivalent to 5.9% of the projected gross domestic product (GDP), in the 2023 draft budget, it said.
The draft budget targets revenues of 2.147 billion euro and envisages expenses of 2.514 billion euro, the government said in the draft legislation posted on the parliament’s website on Wednesday.
The 2023 budget bill is pending approval by parliament.
The budget draft envisages 202.8 million euro capital investments in 2023.
Montenegro reported a budget deficit of 57.8 million euro in the first seven months of 2022, compared to a deficit of 119.3 million euro in the like period of 2021.
In 2022, the country's budget was in deficit of 275 million euro, equivalent to 5.1% of GDP.
