September 20 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by a real 6.9% on the year in the second quarter of 2023, following annual growth of 6.1% in the previous quarter, the statistical office said on Wednesday.
The country’s GDP totalled 1.689 billion euro ($1.815 billion) at current prices in the second quarter of 2023, up from 1.423 billion euro in the like period of 2022, the statistical office said in a statement, quoting preliminary data.
Final consumption rose to 1.542 billion euro in the period under review, from 1.356 billion euro in the second quarter of last year. Exports totalled 786.8 million euro and imports amounted to 1.189 billion euro in April-June 2023.
In the second quarter of 2022, Montenegro's real GDP grew by 12.7%.
