September 21 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by a real 12.7% on the year in the second quarter of 2022, following 7.2% growth in the previous quarter, the statistical office said on Wednesday, quoting preliminary data.
The country’s GDP totalled 1.396 billion euro ($1.396 billion) at current prices in the second quarter of 2022, up from 1.138 billion euro a year earlier, the statistical office said in a statement.
In the second quarter of 2021, Montenegro's economy expanded by a real 19.6%.
Final consumption expenditure fell to 1.351 billion euro in the second quarter of 2022 from 1.139 billion euro in the like period of the previous year. Exports totalled 689.3 million euro and imports amounted to 1.16 billion euro.
