October 13 (SeeNews) - The number of fixed telephone lines in Montenegro fell slightly to 150,772 at the end of August from 151,582 a month earlier, the country's telecoms regulator said.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of fixed telephone lines was down 2.32%, the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP) said on its website.
Crnogorski Telekom, majority-owned by Hungary's Magyar Telekom, had 141,518 landlines at the end of August, down from 142,664 a month earlier.
Mobile operator M:tel, a subsidiary of Telekom Srbija, had 8,194 landlines at the end of August, up from 7,909 in July.
Norwegian-owned Telenor had 719 landlines, unchanged from July, while Slovenian-owned Telemach had 341, up 17.6% month-on month.
Montenegro has a population of around 620,000.
