January 30 (SeeNews) - The number of fixed telephone lines in Montenegro edged down to 164,671 at the end of December from 164,738 a month earlier, the country's telecoms regulator said on Friday.
T-Com, the fixed-line division of incumbent telco Crnogorski Telekom, had 162,026 landlines at the end of December, down from 162,068 landlines a month earlier, the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services said on its website.
Mobile operator M:tel had 2,645 landlines at the end of December, down from 2,670 in November. M:tel, a unit of Telekom Srbija, has been licensed to provide fixed-line voice services using the WiMAX technology.
Montenegro has a population of some 630,000.
