October 27 (SeeNews) - The number of fixed telephone lines in Montenegro fell to 164,846 at the end of September from 165,025 a month earlier, the country's telecoms regulator said.
T-Com, the fixed-line division of incumbent telco Crnogorski Telekom, had 162,128 landlines at the end of September, down from 162,278 landlines a month earlier, the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services said on its website.
Mobile operator M:tel had 2,818 landlines at the end of September, down from 2,747 in August. M:tel, a unit of Telekom Srbija, has been licensed to provide fixed-line voice services using the WiMAX technology.
Montenegro has a population of some 630,000.
