July 21 (SeeNews) - Montenegrin power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) [MNG:EPCG] plans to start a planned overhaul of its 307 MW hydropower plant (HPP) Perucica on July 23, it said.
The plant will be brought back on stream on September 3, when the planned overhaul will be completed, EPCG said in a statement on Wednesday.
In February, EPCG signed a 535,000 euro ($548,700) deal with Serbian civil engineering firm Energoprojekt Hidroinzenjering [BEL:EPHD] for the preparation of project and tender documentation for the installation of an eighth turbine at Perucica.
Energoprojekt Hidroinzenjering should prepare the documentation in seven months, after which the selection of construction contractors and equipment suppliers for the 24 million euro project for the installation of the turbine will begin, EPCG said back in February.
