PODGORICA (Montenegro), November 9 (SeeNews) – The number of mobile phone subscribers in Montenegro declined 16% year-on-year to 1,087,544 at the end of September, according to data from the national telecommunications regulator, EKIP.
The mobile penetration rate in Montenegro increased to 175.40% in September from 175.19% at the end of August, when the number of subscribers was 1,086,214, figures posted on the EKIP website show.
Montenegro, with a population of around 680,000, has three mobile operators - Telenor, Crnogorski Telekom and M:tel. M:tel had a 34.36% share of the overall number of subscribers at the end of September, followed by Crnogorski Telekom with 33.25% and Telenor with 32.39%.
The share of postpaid subscribers was 57.41% at the end of September.
