PODGORICA (Montenegro), November 29 (SeeNews) – The number of mobile phone subscribers in Montenegro rose 5.14% year-on-year to 1,118,729 at the end of October, according to data from the national telecommunications regulator, EKIP.
The mobile penetration rate in Montenegro decreased to 180.43% in October from 183.98% at the end of September, when the number of subscribers was 1,140,709, figures posted on the EKIP website show.
Montenegro, with a population of around 680,000, has three mobile operators - Telenor, Crnogorski Telekom and M:tel. Telenor had a 36.95% share of the overall number of subscribers at the end of October, followed by Crnogorski Telekom with 32.80% and M:tel with 30.25%.
The share of postpaid subscribers was 45.99% at the end of October.
