December 5 (SeeNews) - The number of unemployed people in Montenegro has increased 12.1% on the year to 50,752 at the end of October, according to official data.
Out of the total, 20,753 were unemployed persons looking for a job for the first time, unqualified unemployed persons were 17,406, while the number of persons receiving unemployment benefits totalled 8,423, Montenegro's statistical office said in a report published on its website.
Montenegro’s unemployment rate fell to 15.1% in the second quarter of 2017, down by 2.3 percentage points compared to the previous quarter, the country's statistical office said in September.
Montenegro has a population of about 680,000.
