PODGORICA (Montenegro), August 21 (SeeNews) – The number of mobile phone subscribers in Montenegro declined 6.49% year-on-year to 1,048,550 at the end of June, according to data from the national telecommunications regulator, EKIP.
The mobile penetration rate in Montenegro increased to 169.11% in June from 167.73% at the end of May, when the number of subscribers was 1,039,980, figures posted on the EKIP website show.
Montenegro, with a population of around 680,000, has three mobile operators - Telenor, Crnogorski Telekom and M:tel. M:tel had a 34.52% share of the overall number of subscribers at the end of June, followed by Crnogorski Telekom with 33.69% and Telenor with 31.79%.
The share of postpaid subscribers was 58.96% at the end of June.
