PODGORICA (Montenegro), March 25 (SeeNews) – The number of mobile phone subscribers in Montenegro rose 6.23% year-on-year to 1,081,158 at the end of February, according to data from the national telecommunications regulator, EKIP.
The mobile penetration rate in Montenegro decreased to 174.37% in February from 179.33% at the end of January, when the number of subscribers was 1,111,922, figures posted on the EKIP website show.
Montenegro, with a population of around 680,000, has three mobile operators - Telenor, Crnogorski Telekom and M:tel. M:tel had a 33.85% share of the overall number of subscribers at the end of February, followed by Telenor with 33.81% and Crnogorski Telekom with 32.33%.
The share of postpaid subscribers was 53.14% at the end of February.
