PODGORICA (Montenegro), February 15 (SeeNews) – The number of mobile phone subscribers in Montenegro declined 6.2% year-on-year to 1,080,089 at the end of December, according to data from the national telecommunications regulator, EKIP.
The mobile penetration rate in Montenegro decreased to 174.20% in December from 174.51% at the end of November, when the number of subscribers was 1,082,036, figures posted on the EKIP website show.
Montenegro, with a population of around 680,000, has three mobile operators - Telenor, Crnogorski Telekom and M:tel. M:tel had a 34.89% share of the overall number of subscribers at the end of December, followed by Crnogorski Telekom with 33.56% and Telenor with 31.55%.
The share of postpaid subscribers was 67.82% at the end of December.
