June 6 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's central government debt increased to 2.665 billion euro ($3.136 billion) in March from 2.628 billion euro at the end of 2017, according to finance ministry data.
The debt was equivalent to 60.6% of the gross domestic product (GDP) projected for 2018, down from 62.5% at the end of 2017, data posted on the website of the finance ministry shows.
The foreign debt of Montenegro fell to 2.196 billion euro at the end of March from 2.214 billion euro in December 2017, while internal debt rose to 469.15 million euro from 413.9 million euro.
The largest creditor of the Montenegrin government is the Export-Import Bank of China (EXIM Bank) with 334.1 million euro, followed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with 197.3 million euro of debt.
