PODGORICA (Montenegro), December 17 (SeeNews) – Montenegro's power grid operator CEDIS plans to invest 22.4 million euro ($25.4 million) in a project for the overhaul of the low- and medium-voltage network across the country, the company said.
The project will be carried out by a consortium of Montenegrin companies Mezon, Electro Team and Ramel and will take 24 months to complete, CEDIS said in a statement on Sunday.
The overhaul works are expected to start in February 2019, with 12.4 million euro to be invested in the first year of the project, CEDIS said.
The total length of the overhead medium-voltage power grid that will be subject to overhaul works will stand at 480 kilometres, or 13% of total, while the total length of the low-voltage power grid to be revamped will amount to 990 kilometres.
The project is part of the 81.6 million euro investment programme of CEDIS for the period 2019-2021.
