March 16 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's current account balance showed a deficit of 1.089 billion euro ($1.3 billion) at the end of 2020, compared to a deficit of 744.2 million euro in the like period of last year, the country's central bank said.
The deficit in trade in goods decreased to 1.641 billion euro in 2020, while the surplus in services declined to 181.7 million euro, according to data posted on the website of Montenegro's central bank.
Primary income came in at 61.6 million euro, while secondary revenue amounted to 308.5 million euro in 2020.
In the fourth quarter of 2020 alone, the current account deficit totalled 227.4 million euro, versus a deficit of 339.5 million euro in October-December 2019.
